Jobson Easow immigrated with his family to Hamilton-Canada in 1993. Since his arrival in Canada, he has been very active in the civic life of the City of Markham and York Region. He has always been dedicated to giving back to Canada and his community. In 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal in recognition of his involvement with community service in Canada. The Mayor of the City of Markham also recognized him in the council chamber for his outstanding and dedicated community work in the City of Markham. Jobson Easow’s dream is to see all residents of Markham-Thornhill finding ways to share their cultural values within their local neighborhoods and to create a vibrant and lively community. He encourages young people to get involved in all areas of community and increase their knowledge about how our country operates.
Educated at Kerala University, India, he has worked in a number of business environments with varying levels of responsibility, including being the Manager of Sheraton Hamilton and Hilton Suites, Markham. Currently he is the Business Development Advisor International for Conxcorp Ltd, a company with ethical and moral mandate to not only deliver the world’s most energy efficient and long lasting lighting with the most superior lighting technology to provide safe, effective and impressive environments. His business ventures give him great insight into the resources required to be a successful business owner.
As a businessman Jobson knows how much the Conservative government has helped many small businesses flourish in the past nine years. Jobson is committed to Prime Minister Harper’s dedication to the payroll tax cut and providing tax relief for businesses and Canadian workers. By dramatically reducing payroll taxes, Canadian workers will see their take-home pay increase and businesses - especially small businesses - will be able to create new jobs and invest in their current employees. Canadian workers and businesses are enjoying the lowest federal tax burden in more than 50 years. As a result, Canada's economy is growing and moving forward despite global economic instability.
Jobson believes in serving and protecting taxpayers, making our communities safer for our children, providing tax relief for Canadians and continuing to make our economy one of the strongest and most stable on a global scale. Jobson vows to stand up for the values that Canada is known for: honouring the rule of law, economic strength, equality for all, caring for the poor and the sick, honouring the elderly, supporting new Canadians and protecting family values. Jobson will make it a priority to build strong ties within the community and bring the riding together, have constituents voice their concerns. He will always be a strong voice for the residents of Markham-Thornhill and he is determined to help build a better Canada.
